The U.S. Department of Education announced today that the official three-year federal student loan cohort default rate has declined to 11.8 percent for students who entered repayment in FY 2012. That drop was across all sectors of higher education—public, private and for-profit institutions.

Texas A&M University ranks second in the nation for providing services to veterans in transitioning into civilian careers after their military service, according to College Factual, an online service that helps prospective students make the best choices in selecting institutions of higher learning. The rankings were reported by the USA Today College Partner Network.

Starting May 10, 2015, the Federal Student Aid PIN will be replaced with the FSA ID. The new FSA ID consists of a user-created username and password to electronically access personal information on Federal Student Aid Web sites. Once FSA ID has been implemented, you will be directed to create your username and password.
